Superficial Match:

Superficial match is a Card Sorting technique in which if there are large number of items to sort, then the participants can simply group the similar items or names together.

Example:

  • The number of color pencil items in a color pencil box are placed together in the same box regardless of the color of any pencil.
  • While doing the dishes, the stack normally consists dish items of different shapes and sizes.
