!!!

according to chemistry, suspension is a heterogeneous mixture where the solute (solid particles) get suspended. they don't dissolve with the solvent (liquid) no matter how hard you try to dissolve it.. how hard you shake etc.. but it won't dissolve. this type of mixture are known as heterogeneous mixture and also known as suspension.

now some properties of suspension :-

~ the particles of suspension can be seen by naked eyes.

~ particles of suspension can't be filtered by filter paper.

~ the particles of suspension scatter when a beam of light passes through it and make it's path visible.

~ if it's left undisturbed for some time, then it's particles will get suspended at the bottom.

suspension is a heterogeneous mixture where the solute particles don't get dissolve with the solvent. the solute particles are dispersed in liquids.

properties of suspension :-

  • it's a heterogeneous mixture.

  • particles of suspension are comparitibly large and can be seen through naked eyes.

  • the particles of suspension scatters and make the path visible when beam of light passes through it.

  • a suspension is unstable means particles settle down if left undisturbed.

  • solute can solvent particles of a suspension can be separated by the process of filtration.
