symbiont is referred to the organism that is in a symbiotic relationship.
And symbiotic relationship is a special type of interaction between 2 species which can be helpful for both or for only one species without the other being affected
For eg. Fungi and algae are in symbiosis and benefit each other.
whereas cattle egrets and cattle are in symbiotic relationship where only the cattle egrets are benefited by the cattle and the cattle may or may not be benefited by the egrets.
