Tropic movement is growth dependant movement ( it depends on growth of the plant) , directional ( It has a fixed directional ) and is very slow ( it is observed clearly only after a few days)

- It is called to be positive if it moves towards the source of stimuli and negative if it directs away from the source stimuli.
- For instance, the phototropic movement, the plant or shoot responds by bending towards light whereas roots respond by bending away from it.
