when plant cell is present in hypotonic solution its takes up water by osmosis and starts to swell. but the cell wall prevents it from busting .. the plant cell is said to be have became turgid... this is called turgid plant cell

Turgid: a plant cell fully in flat with water .plasmolysed -plant cell that has lost water causing the cell membrane to be pulled away from the inside of cell wall .Flaccid - a plant cell that is limp through a radiation of pressure inside the cell .
