\sf\underline{\underline{\green{Velocity \: }}}

➡Velocity of a moving body is the rate of change of its position with time in a particular direction.

➡In other words, the displacement of a moving body per unit time is called the velocity of the body.

\sf\underline{\underline{\green{<strong>Formula</strong> \: <strong>of</strong> \: <strong>velocity</strong> \: }}}

Velocity = Displacement / Time taken

=>Velocity is a vector quantity. It's SI unit is metre per second (m/s). Being a vector quantity, velocity can be negative.

\sf\underline{\underline{\green{<strong><em><u>Example</u></em></strong> \: }}}

Two cars moving with a speed of 40km/h , one towards the east and other towards the west. Then velocity of one car with respect to the other is negative.
