● AC generator ( alternate current generator ) is a machine that is used to produce AC ( alternate current ) by using Fleming's Right Hand Rule. Due to the motion if the conductor and the magnetic field a induced current is produced.

● DC generator :- It is a machine that produces direct current. ( Its principle of working is same as the AC generator ).

The major difference between the two is that AC generator has split rings to reverse the direction of current and DC generator uses commutator.
