The electric power supplied by our electricity board in our country is AC power of single phase or three phase. Therefore it is our concern to use it as it is or convert into DC power for any appliances. But if DC power is required without the help of Electricity board we can use battery supplies of 12v or 24 volts or in multiples according to our requirement. Ofcourse this DC power can be also converted to AC power using inverters.
