For viewing distant objects, the lens become flattened or thinner. For near vision, the lens become more convex. The process in which changes occur in the lens curvature to see the objects clearly is called accommodation of light.

The parts of the eye involved in accommodation include ciliary muscle, suspensory ligament and lens.
