what is acid and base pH ????

KDRaika123: More precisely it is the negative of the base 10 logarithm of the activity of the hydrogen ion. Solutions with a pH less than 7 are acidic and solutions with a pH greater than 7 are basic. Pure water is neutral, at pH 7 (25 °C), being neither an acid nor a base.

Mixing acids and bases can cancel out or neutralize their extreme effects. A substance that is neither acidic nor basic is neutral. The pH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance is. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 1

ph of NEUTRAL body is 7

pH of acids are less than 7
◆ less than 3 --strong acids
◆more than 3 less than 7-weak acids.

pH of bases are more than 7

◆more than 10 strong bases.
◆less than 10 more than 7 weak bases

abhaygoel71: a correction friend- more than 10 is strong pH
abhaygoel71: strong base
shashankavsthi: thnxx for correction
abhaygoel71: welcome friend
angelritika: thnx
