Acid
Sour in taste.
Turn blue litmus to red.
Conducts electricity.
Corrosive in nature.
Base
Bitter in taste.
Turn red litmus to blue.
Conducts electricity.
Soapy to touch.
When an Acid reacts with a Base then,
Neutral salt and Water is formed.
That is,
HCL+NaOH---------->NaCl+H2O
All the acids have hydrogen atom in them.They dissociate in water to give hydrogen ions (H+).
Hope you helpful.

Explanation:
An acid–base reaction is a chemical reaction that occurs between an acid and a base. It can be used to determine pH. Several theoretical frameworks provide alternative conceptions of the reaction mechanisms and their application in solving related problems; these are called the acid–base theories, for example, Brønsted–Lowry acid–base theory.
