ACID RAIN :-
Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain.

FORMATION OF ACID RAIN :-

Fossil fuels naturally contain sulfur compounds. These produce sulfur dioxide, a gas with a sharp, choking smell, when the fuel is burned. When sulfur dioxide dissolves in water droplets in clouds, it makes the rainmore acidic than normal. This is called acid rain.

Hritesh652: The fuel used in vehicles causes acid rain. When vehicle engines are used they release oxides of nitrogen And some others gases. They go up in the atmosphere and mixes with the rain, this forms acid rain.
