acidity is secretion of HCl acid. to get rid of it you need to nuetralize this acid

i.e, you need a base like milk of magnesia or aluminium hydroxide.

Al(OH)3 + 3HCl = AlCl3 + 3H20

or, Mg(OH)2 + 2HCl = MgCl2 + 2H2O

thus the acid is nuetralized and nuetral salt and water is produced
