To give product like acetyl chloride(acyl chlorine). N the by products HCl n SO2 are volatile compounds, therefore this method is used as industrial method as to obtain only alkyl chlorides n it takes place in the presence of reflux n pyridine [pyridine is used to neutralize the remaining small amount of HCl molecules]….
