Adverb may be defined as a word which modified or tells more a verb , adjective or another adverb. basically these are the words which tell about the quality of a verb .
Type Of Adverbs
1) Adverb of manner :- adverb of manner tell how an action is being performed . for example :-
• I baked the cake carefully .
• She speaks softly
in the about sentences the words carefully and softly are adverb of manner .
2) Adverb of place :- adverb of place tell where the action takes place.
3) Adverb of time :- adverb of time tells when the action takes place . for example :-
• my sister came home yesterday
• he arrived late in the morning .
in the above sentences the words yesterday and late are the adverb of time.
4) Adverb of frequency :- adverb of frequency test how often are in what frequency the action takes place. for example :-
• I am never late to school.
• he always goes to his sister's house on weekends.
in the above sentences the words never and always are adverb of frequency.
5) Adverb of degree :- adverb of degree tells the extent of degree to which and action is performed. for example:-
• he is very fast at his work.
