AEROBIC RESPIRATION :-

  • aerobic respiration takes place in the presence of oxygen.

  • it occurs in mitochondria of the cell.

  • end products of aerobic respiration are carbondioxide (Co2) and water (H2O)

  • large amount of heat is released in this type of respiration as compared to anaerobic respiration.

ANAEROBIC RESPIRATION :-

  • anaerobic respiration takes place in the absence of oxygen.

  • it occurs on cytoplasm of the cell.

  • end products of anaerobic respiration are alcohol, carbondioxide or lactic acid.

  • less amount of heat is released in this type of respiration as compared to anaerobic respiration.
