Aerobic respiration is the process that leads to a simple oxidation of organic substance in the presence of Oxygen and religious CO2 water and a large amount of energy present in the substrate this type of respiration is most common in higher organisms.

For aerobic respiration to takes place within the mitochondria the final product of glucose pyruvate is transported from the cytoplasm into the mitochondria the crucial events in aerobic respiration are:-

1. the complete oxidation of pyruvate by the stepwise removal of all the hydrogen atoms living 3 molecules of.
2. the passing on of the electrons removed as the part of the hydrogen atoms to molecular or two with simultaneous synthesis of ATP.

Reaction during aerobic respiration:-

C6H12O6 + 6O2 = 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy (as ATP).
