When I was first learning to drive my car - my father would drive us to a small Air Strip in the country to practice my driving out of harms way - I guess you can’t do this on a major Airport / Terminus or Runway….!

So an Aerodrome or Airfield is a place of Air Operations for the Ministry Of Defence, light Aircraft landing / Take-Off -or emergency landing site and many other operations….

This particular Air field is now a Retail/ Industrial Park and the Airstrip has returned to agriculture. It’s such a shame that it was an important site during the WWI /WWII…..
