Explanation:

People depend on plants for food, clean air, water, fuel, clothing, and shelter. Nearly all food webs begin with plants, the primary producers. During photosynthesis, green plants use sunlight to change carbon dioxide from the air and water into simple sugars made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen

the science or practice of farming, including cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other products is called agriculture

Humans and animals are dependent on plants directly or indirectly for food.Only plants are autotrophs i.e., they are capable of synthesizing their own food. Animals are heterotrophs i.e., they are incapable of synthesizing their own food. They depend on plants and other animals for food. The man also being a heterotroph, gets his food from plants as well as animals.
