Air Resistance

The frictional Force exerted by air against a moving object is called air resistance.

Explanation:

It is a force that acts against any movement through tha air. It is caused by the fact that the moving object collides with the air molecules. These air molecules take over a tiny bit of kinetic energy from the moving object and there are a lot of them! So gradually the moving object will lose its kinetic energy unless there is another force pushing it forward and counteracting the air resistance.

for example— when you throw a piece of pebble on ground from a certain height ,it reaches ground very fastly within a second .and when you throw a piece of paper from certain height it takes so much time to reach at the ground , this could be due to air resistance

greater the mass of body =lesser air resistance
