✯ALGAE : algae belong to the plant Kingdom. they are the simplest plants. all Algae are autotrophic,as they possess chlorophyll. most algae live in water. some algae are microscopic, and some others, like sea weeds, are big enough to be seen with naked eyes.
►some algae like Chlorella , are unicellular.
others, like spirogyra, are multicellular.
spirogyra, has similar cells joined end to end in long chain called ғɪʟᴀᴍᴇɴᴛs.
it is therefore called a ғɪʟᴀᴍᴇɴᴛᴏᴜs alga.
