- Mainly two aperture are present first is glottis which is the ventral and upper side.
- Glottis is related to the larynx and it is guarded by epiglottis.
- Second aperture is gullet which is the lower and dorsal aperture which goes into the oesophagus.
- It is thin and long tube.
- It passes through neck and anddiaphragm which leads to the stomach which is of "J shape" .
- Gastro oesophageal sphincter is present for the opening of oesophagus into the stomach.
- It's length is depend on the length of the neck that's why giraffe has longest oesophagus.

Alimentary canal :- Our body needs food but the we eat food to get energy this food has to be absorbed by each and every cell of the body human alimentary canal is a pathway through which the food we eat travel down through our body untill it reaches the anus and gets eliminated from our body in the feaces. The human alimentary canal starts from mouth or bucul cavity.

● In our mouth the food we eat broken down into starch or glucos. Now canines, Molars and the pre molars us to make small peaces of the food. From our mouth the food reaches the oesophagus. The food now reaches the c shaped organ called stomuch. The liver secretes certain enzymes for example bile juice. Now the food reaches the small intestine which is the longest part of alimantary canal. Small intestine is the complete of site digestion. Iner lining of small intestine is covered with mucus to prevent the effect of HCL. Now the unabsorbed food reaches the large intestine. Now the unabsorbed food reaches the anus and food thrown out of the body in form of feaces which is called ingetion.
