Heya user !!!

Here's the answer you are looking for

Alliteration is a poetic device.

When a line in a stanza contains more than two words starting with the same letter, this line is said to have used the poetic device called alliteration

For eg.
Water water every where
but not a single drop to drink.

W is the starting letter for 2 words so the poetic device used in the line Water water every where is alliteration.

Heya friend,

Alliteration is a poetic Device. It is repetition of usually consonant sounds in a sequence of words, only when the recurrent sound occurs in a conspicuous position at beginning of a word or of a stressed syllable within a word.

For example-:

•Grassy and wanted wear.
-Sound of 'W' is repeated here.

• .......and sings a melancholy strain.
-Sound of 'S' is repeated here.

Hope it helps...!!
