What is an ALKALI and an ALKALINE? Explain by giving two examples

A base which is soluable in water is known as alkali. Alkaline is a solution which contains alkali in it or have propeties of alkali.

Eg MgO, CO2

☺️having the properties of an alkali, or containing alkali; having a pH greater than 7 is called Alkaline.
Ex:toothpaste, bleach.
