  • Alkeneynes is hydrocarbons that have 'acyclic branched' or 'unbranched', they have carbon-carbon double bond and carbon-carbon triple bond.
  • This is an aliphatic compound that contains both ene (double bond) and yne (triple bond), the chain can be numbered starting with the end closest to the functional group that appears first.
  • In case of a tie, the double bond is given the lowest number. The first carbon of the triple bond receiving the lowest numbers and priority.
