An allusion is a figure of speech that gives a proper reference to a person/place. It can be real or a fiction. When an allusion is present, it does not give complete description of the item/person/place.
Examples :
- "He was a real Romeo with the ladies." Romeo, the lead character in Shakespeare's play.
- "This place is like a Garden of Eden." The Garden of Eden was the paradise God made for Adam and Eve.
Hope it helps :)
