Atom is considered as the smallest unit of matter.

There are many variety of atoms,each having their own name and mass.These atoms are called elements.

Atoms are divided into its 3 sub-atomic particles --

1) Electron
2) Proton
3) Neutron

Electrons are negatively charged.
Protons are positively charged.
Neutrons don't contain any charge.

Protons and neutrons are present in middle of atom called nucleus while electrons revolve around the nucleus in well-defined orbits.
