Cell is a mass of protoplasm which is bounded by a cell wall and in many cases by a cell wall as well. It is also called the structural and functional unit of life.
Functions:
i) It provides structure like neurons which are elongated which forms the nervous system,
ii) every cell is capable of carrying out the function of a particular organ like the eye cells help us in seeing,
iii) they help in reproduction, as they divide and form new cells like blastocyst,
iv) they help in growth and repair of body.
