electromagnet is an electric conductor which becomes a magnet when electricity is passed through it.
it's strength can be increased by a few ways. one of them is to increase the current passing through it.

yes. they are wrapping the coil around an iron core. and increasing the number of turns in the coil.

I do, if a person cannot see an object kept at 1.5m is it myopia or hypermetropia?

a short sighted person (suffering from myopia) has the far point equal to 25 cm. so if he cant see the object placed at 1.5m (150cm) , he is suffering from myopia. thats according to the information i have. im not sure about it. i hope it helps. let me know.
