An surface with same electric potential at every point on a surface is called equipotential surface.

Equipotential surfaces have the same value of potential throughout their surface. Work is done when a charge flows from/to a potential gradient. For an equipotential surface no work is done to move a chance from one point to another within the surface. Equipotential surfaces includes uniform Spheres, places where the field lines are parallel etc.
