Anaerobic respiration is a type of in which organisms do not require oxygen,rather they use the mechanism of electron accepting.
Example is E.Coli,Acetobacterium woodli,etc

yukthavani: anaerobic respiration occurs in absence of oxygen. energy is released in lesser amount and it takes place only in mitochondria . anaerobic respiration is also known as FERMENTATION .
