The rate of change of angular displacement is known as angular velocity. It is a vector quantity.

Formula:-

 \boxed{\omega = \frac{\theta}{t}},

It's unit is rad s^-1.

More:-

  • Angular displacement is a dimension less unit having a SI unit.
  • S.I. (Systémé International) unit of angular displacement = radians.
  • It can be also measured by degrees.

Conversion of degrees to radians:-

  1. 360° = 2π radians
  2. 180° = π radians
  3. 90° = ½(π) radians.
