Anastral mitosis is characteristic of plant cells. ... During the division of a plant cell, spindle fibres form but no centrioles or aster are formed. Broadly the process of mitosis in a plant and animal cell is the same except for a few differences like in formation of spindle fibres and cytokinesis.
