Micelles are liquid molecules that arrange in spherical shape in aqueous solution.

When soap is added to water, micelle is formed. Reason being - Hydrocarbon chains of soap are hydrophobic while the ionic ends are hydrophilic as a result soluble in water.

Will micelles be formed in other solvents such as ethonol also - NO. alkyl chain of soap becomes soluble in alcohol.
