ANSWER:

Anus is referred as openings in the end of alimentary canal. Through this alimentary canal the solid waste matter is eliminated from the body.

EXPLANATION:

The function of anus is to control the feces expulsion. The unwanted waste of food material including various chemical component is expelled via anus. There are two sphincters which controls the "exit of feces" from the body during the act of defecation.

The example of certain substance expelled are as cellulose or lignin, certain toxic substance, certain excess gut bacteria and endosymbionts
