Aqua regia is a mixture of nitric acid (HNO3) and Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) in ratio of 1:3 by number of moles.
Thus, it is HNO3 + 3 HCl

It is more commonly known as Royal Water or King's Water.

It is a yellow orange fuming liquid which can dissolve noble metals like gold and platinum.
