when a body is immersed wholly or partially in a liquid at rest it experience an upthrust . the upthrust is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by the immersed part of the body
i.e apparent weight of a body in a liquid =true weight -weight of liquid displaced

this theory used in made for sheep , fluid mechanics etc

abhi178: I think this is helpful
SHRUTHIKA01: Thank u

applications : designing ships
submarines
in lactometers to test purity of milk
in hydrometers to determine density of liquids
