when a body is fully or partially dipped in a liquid it experiences an upward force called buoyancy which is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by the object.this is Archimedes principal
it can be experimentally verified by- first measure the weight of object by spring balance..dip it in water and see the weight loss ..the difference is equal to the buoyant force nd after that use the process given in Archimedes principal nd verify whether the buoyant force is equal to the difference or not
