They are generally Sandy in texture and saline in nature.
Soil lacks humus and moisture.
Nitrogen is insufficient and the phosphate content is normal.
It is found in western Rajasthan.
The lower horizons of the soil are occupied by Kankar because of the increasing calcium content downwards .
