An arithmetic progreesion is a sequence of the form.

  • a + a+d, a+2d,........a+nd.......

where the initial term a and common difference term d are the real number.

then

  • first term is T = a+(n-d) d

  • sum of first n term is sn =n/2=[2a(n-1) d]=n/2[a+l]

  • 2,1,4,7,10......

2, 1, 4, 7, 10 ……………. is an A.P. whose first term is -2

common difference is 1 - (-2) = 1 + 2 = 3.
