Aromatic hydrocarbons fulfill following conditions:
1) They should be Cyclic
2) They should have sp2 hybridised carbon
3) They should show conjugation [ alternate single and double bond]
4) They should follow Huckel's rule [4n + 2] π electrons should be present in the structure { where n= 0,1,2,3,4,.... and so on}

Aromatic hydrocarbons are those which have there structure in the form of ring, unlike Allopathic hydrocarbon which have non -ringed structure.
