***Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction where only one parent is involved and inherit the genes of that parent only

*** it does not involve the fusion of gametes

***We cannot differentiate between the parent and the offspring

***eg: archaea and bacteria. Many plants and fungi sometimes reproduce asexually.
