what is assimilation? not answered from Google answer in own words

Hey user , here's your answer...

Assimilation is a process in which the nutrients that are released from the food [after its digestion in our digestive tract] are absorbed into the main blood stream through the villi that are present in our small intestine. So I can in brief refer it to as absorption.
