Athlete's foot is a fungal infection of the foot's skin. Most athlete's foot is caused by Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Trichophyton rubrum (one of two types of fungus). It is a contagious disease.

Athlete's foot also known as  tinea pedis it is originally a fungal infection that usually begins between the toes ....it is caused when a person sweats a lot while wearing tight sneakers or persons who do a lot of work with water....smptoms are itching, stinging and burning skin and rashes can be seen ......by topical anti-fungal medication a person can cure this disease
