Atomic mass is referred to as the sum total of the masses of all the atoms in that particular substance.

 It consists of three kinds of particles namely the electrons which are negatively charges, the protons which are positively charged and neutrons which are neutral.

For eg .--

Atomic Mass of

Carbon = 12 amu

Hydrogen = 1 amu
