INTRODUCTION:
Photosynthesis is an important anabolic process(synthetic process) in which simple substances ,the carbon dioxide and water are used to form complex carbohydrates.
On the other hand Respiration is a catabolic (degradative process) where complex substances are changed to simple form.
ADENOSINE TRIPHOSPHATE (ATP) - ATP molecules are often regarded as the energy currency of the cell which provide the necessary energy for driving various key physiological processes.
.It is a small parcel of chemical energy and each ATP molecules gives 7200 calories of energy.
The function of ATP in photosynthesis process are:
1.It plays a crucial role in Biosynthetic phase or Light independent reaction (one of the mechanism of photosynthesis)
2.It helps, the hydrogen of the NADPH(formed in photolysis phase or light dependent reaction) to combine it with CO2 to produce glucose in plants(dark phase)
