This law was proposed by Amedeo Avogadro. It states that equal volumes of all gases at

the same temperature and pressure should contain equal number of moles or molecules.

Illustration: If we take 10L each of NH3, N2, O2 and CO2 at the same temperature and pressure, all of them

contain the same number of moles and molecules.
