when two fractions are said to be equal to each other, then the componendo the equation is also equal to each other. When a componendo is applied to a fraction the numerator becomes the sum of numerator and denominator; the denominator remains same.
let m/n = 1/2 where, m is numerator and n is denominator.
applying componendo, we get
(m+n)/n = 3/2
let m/n = 1/2 where, m is numerator and n is denominator.
applying componendo, we get
(m+n)/n = 3/2
