Old alluvium soil is called Bhangar. It is found in the Indo- Gangetic plains of North India and Pakistan

Bhangar belongs to the category of old alluvial soil.B hangar contains kankar ,modules and calcium carbonate.It is not much fertile.B hangar contains more sand and less loam and is usually deposited away from flood plains thus lacking fertility.
