Biochemical process are those chemical reactions which carried out by living organism itself to convert a substrate into a desired product by feeding the substrate into its complex biochemical reaction pathways & conversion assist by the native enzymes of that particular living cell.

But recently enzymes itself used to convert substrate to product in immobilised for conversion but here whole living cell doesn’t require. so such process may also called non living entity assisted biochemical process.

Example of former one like conversion of glucose into ethanol employing yeast cell while later one invertase converts plant sugar (sucrose) into glucose & fructose.
